While Lenovo presented this all-new ThinkPad X1 during the ‘Accelerate‘ event in Florida, United States, where it made the first demo of this ThinkPad X1, which will be a laptop and the start of a family of products that will have a standard folding screen. However, the fact is that ThinkPad X1 is not its final name; if we talk about its features, then let me clarify that it will have a 13-inch OLED screen manufactured by the South Korean giant LG Display that will offer a 2K resolution. Moreover, it is an ‘Always Connected, Always On‘ laptop; hence, it will always be on and connected, which will surprisingly have an Intel processor and Windows 10 OS, although the details of the processor model and the Microsoft operating system version were not yet given. It will support Stylus and, according to Lenovo, it is based on the folding technology developed by LG Display, the same technology we already have seen in its roll-up television.
According to Lenovo, it is not a smartphone or a tablet, nor a convertible, as it is a folding PC that combines the laptop’s productivity with the smartphone’s portability. Before this announcement, some well-known American media portals already had the opportunity to test this ThinkPad X1 prototype. They justified what it is and what Lenovo has done. However, the most surprising thing is that the folding zone was not seen, as the hinge was hidden on the outside thanks to a leather coating, a material used throughout the outer body of the device, which simply makes the device more premium.
