Previously we saw the instant messaging app WhatsApp rolled out a renewed “Status” functionality. This feature lets users set photos and videos as the status update just like Instagram stories. However, with the arrival of new functionality, the old text-based status update feature went missing. Users across the world have started to give thumbs down to the new update because most of the users find it complicated and irritating. However, the good news is that the instant messaging app WhatsApp brought back the text status feature to all Android users. Well, the feature is now called “About and phone number” which users can access by going to their profile tab into settings. However, the feature is only available to Android users. But in the coming weeks, it will be rolled out to iOS users as well. Users just need to update their WhatsApp app from Google Play store to enjoy the feature. The Snapchat-style WhatsApp Status feature that lets users upload photos and videos that disappear in 24 hours is still in the app. So, update your existing app to enjoy the old text-based status feature on your WhatsApp app. So, what do you think about this?
