When Does the Next Tomb Raider Game Come Out?
To get straight to the point, there’s no set release date for the upcoming Tomb Raider game just yet. Crystal Dynamics had simply stated that the game was now in development using Unreal Engine 5, but no further details were given regarding a release window or even a release year. It’s safe to assume, then, that we’re at least another two or three years away from seeing its official release, especially since it sounds like the game is still fairly early on in its development cycle. This would also mark the fourth entry in Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot series, which started back in 2013 on the PS3. The latest entry, titled Shadow of the Tomb Raider, finally gave us the complete origin story of Lara Croft and showed us how she became the badass, dual-wielding explorer that we all know her as. For now, that’s all we know about the release date for the next Tomb Raider game.
