Splatoon 3 Agent 3 Identity Explained
If you keep hearing everyone refer to Agent 3, but can never seem to find them, it’s because Agent 3 is you. But wait—how is that possible? Wasn’t there another Agent 3? Well, yes, but that’s where it gets a bit complicated. The Inkling from Splatoon was originally Agent 3, a new recruit for the Squidbeak Splatoon and also represented the player character. However, during the events of Splatoon 2, they’re missing; it isn’t until the Octo Expansion that Agent 3 becomes a separate character. Following the events of Splatoon 3, you—the player—become the new Agent 3, and the original Agent 3 becomes the new captain of the Squidbeak Splatoon. So, in that sense, Agent 3 works almost like a title, always getting filled by your newly created character. Now you know who Agent 3 is in Splatoon 3; it was you all along. It’s a neat and creative way of tying the series together. For more on Splatoon 3, get a look at 7-eleven and Splatoon’s food collaboration in Japan.
